The Destination
Welcome to Rabat, one of Morocco鈥檚 four imperial cities set on the Atlantic coast.
With its diverse landscapes ranging from rugged coastline to fertile plains, Morocco is home to a variety of ecosystems. Rabat stands at the crossroads of modern conservation efforts and centuries-old traditions. The country鈥檚 protected wetlands, forests and reserves support unique species of endangered migratory birds like the marbled teal and the northern bald ibis, making Morocco an emerging leader in North African wildlife protection.
The Chellah ruins, once a Roman settlement, now serve as a quiet haven for nesting storks. The Oudayas Kasbah gardens offer a peaceful space filled with native plants. The country鈥檚 royal history is on display at the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the resting place of the king who led Morocco to independence, and the Royal Palace of Rabat, home to Morocco鈥檚 current king. Along the banks of the Bouregreg River, daily life unfolds at a slower pace. The traditional culture of Morocco will provide an enriching experience as you connect to a new corner of the globe.
