Goddag og velkommen (Hello and Welcome),
It has been such a busy and jam-packed week and we can't believe it's already Saturday! Here's a recap of what the business and design-related thing we did on Tuesday and Wednesday:
On Tuesday, we went to Station. 鈥淲hich station?鈥 you may ask. Well, this isn't a train station, but rather a startup co-working space that is called Station. It was here where we learned about startup culture in Denmark. It is also where we finalized our business idea for our class and played games that helped us with the design process.
On Wednesday, we went to Copenhill, a power plant that burns garbage and is also a ski slope. Our tour guide was (coincidentally) Victor Walbom, the CEO of the company that runs the skiing part of the facility and showed us around and talked about all the features. For example, did you know that it was originally planned that the chimney would produce smoke rings every time 250 kilos of carbon dioxide would be saved? For me personally, it was especially cool because it was the fulfillment of a childhood dream. I found out the facility was being built when I was 10 years old and I鈥檝e always wanted to go ever since because of how cool the technology was. And on this trip, I finally was able to go. We could even see Malmo, Sweden in the distance as well as the 脴resund Bridge and even the Lillgrund Wind Farm!
We can鈥檛 wait to see what鈥檚 in store in Berlin!
