Our housing ensures students are always well-connected to the best of the city. Standard Housing:鈥疘ncludes a room in a shared apartment/residence hall or a homestay.鈥&苍产蝉辫;
- Shared Apartments/Residence Halls:鈥Students stay in double rooms within shared鈥痑partments or residence halls that feature shared bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and free Wi-Fi. The self-catered accommodation is within a 45-minute commute from 黑料网911Auckland.鈥
- Homestays: Immerse yourself in Auckland鈥檚 diverse culture by living with a local family. Auckland is a multicultural city, and students will stay with families from various nationalities, including Kiwis. Homestays are located within a 45-to-60-minute commute by public transportation to 黑料网911Auckland. This is a great opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the local culture, all while having the freedom to explore the city on your own.鈥&苍产蝉辫;
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees.鈥鈥&苍产蝉辫;
Meals
- Shared Apartment/Residence Hall:鈥疻hile meals are not included, students can prepare their own meals in the fully furnished kitchen. Auckland has a vibrant food scene with fresh local fruits, vegetables, and meats readily available. Students can also explore the various restaurants in the areas surrounding the residence hall.鈥
- Homestay:鈥疭tudents who live with homestay families receive two meals daily (typically, breakfast and dinner). The third meal and/or any snacks are on the student.鈥&苍产蝉辫;

- Students studying for three blocks who wish to complete a lab course will be required to opt out of one course to remain within the program credit range. 鈥
Academic Projects
- Academic Projects will be offered onsite (either in-person or remotely), dependent on availability and in compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Academic Project placement will be designed based on the student鈥檚 project learning goals, qualifications, resume, and availability of placements in location or within the Open Campus Block network, either in-person or remotely. The process is highly individualized and goal oriented. Students enrolled in an Academic Project will receive additional academic support that informs and enhances the placement experience.鈥
- Students applying for an Academic Project are required to submit additional materials during the course selection process.
